What we do, through our company, JBM Consultants, to help people who are afraid to speak, that's our main jobs, to get people who study English for ten years, for twelve years, to get them to finly feel open, feel free to use the English they've learnt instead of giving them so many new vocabulary words and teaching them so many new things. We teach them how to express themselves now, how to walk out the door, feel free to go on the street, talk to someone, for they're open and proud of their English, instead of thinking "my English is so bad".

Could you tell us the proper way to greet someone?

J.M.:For the American business culture, the confidence is the key to most business. Sometimes confidence is more important than, not the product you offering but the image of the product. Sometime confidence is more important than how much money you have in the bank. So when you give a greeting to someone from America ,one of the big thing you want to do is to give a very firm handshake. We have a term called "the fish hand"-someone give a very weakened shake. We really associate someone's handshake with their level of confidence. So when you greet someone, you should be bold, be very proud of yourself be very proud of the company you work for, or the product you sale.

Someone asks: have ever seen the episode "Friends"? Is it close to the real life in America?

J.M.:Well, yes I know, "friends" is real American English, but any TV show or movie you see is going to be bigger than real life, but "friends" is very close, maybe as close as some of the TV shows and movies. I hear many people say I know about the American culture, because I'v seen your movies. But I'v seen a lot of Chinese movies, and they doesn't represent Chinese culture a lot of times. So "friends" is close, but the English that you can learn from it is real, maybe another show I can recommend for the people is called "the office". It's similar to friends but it's not business setting.

Could you tell us about your favourite song? And your favourite clause?

J.M.:My favourite song and favourite clause is so difficult. I will have to say My favourite song and I don't know why, there is a band from America called "counting crows", and they have a song called "daylights fadding" .I think it's a very very beautiful song, and it's maybe type of another song by the same band called "perfect blue building". My favourite clause, I believe is by TS Elly, but i don't call to me and then. "the true measure of a man is not by the size of the wallet, but by the size of the mind and his heart".

Why do you like that song?

J.M.:It's going to be difficult for answer, both of those songs I think express a lot of emotion, I really don't like pop music in America, because I don't think there is real emotions behind their real feelings, it's all about money. So with those songs there is very strong emotions, very strong feelings behind them.

Ok before to end the show today, is there anything you would like to share with us?

J.M.:Yes,we had a lot of questions about English, and a lot of questions about how to meet people, how to introduce yourself, and how to get to know people if you are nervous. Match.com was nice enough to bring its on today. So I'd like to mention match.com in china.
